Midlet Wallet

Mobile phones are due to become like wallets, which banks and brand names will be able to generate a volume of electronic payments from via marketing offers and customer loyalty-building.

Characteristics of the "midlet wallet" or mobile wallet
- Main banking functionalities : PIN change, counter resets, top-up, etc...
- Integration of third-party applications: pre-paid, debit or transit.

Midlet Wallet
• Installed in the application memory of the device
• Communicates directly with the secure element
• Applets reside on the secure element and are accessed by the wallet or contactless reader terminal via the NFC controller

Our server-side infrastructure manages the personalisation of MIDlets.

In the preparation process we capture information about the customer's handset model and build the appropriate variant of the wallet for that handset.

Applet Install/Update/Delete
Secure element applets are not able to set up OTA connections. OTA communication with the secure element must occur via a software interface on the handset. The Proxama NFC wallet supports this functionality, providing a secure tunnel enabling a remote server to issue APDU commands to the secure element.
